Mood: Happy Snapper
The first day of November can only mean one thing – it’s my sister’s birthday!
So, without further ado, I’m wishing my “Irish twin” a very happy 40th birthday today. For 5 weeks every year, we get to be the same age, which makes me feel all poised and mature and adult-like (like she always is), even though I’m the older sister. Happy birthday, G2! Hope you get spoiled by V and the kids!
An overly ambitious social calendar, along with a hectic work schedule and a slight bout of the common cold, rendered me useless towards the end of October. I wound up on bed rest for 2 days as per the doctor’s orders. Things are not going to slow down between now and Christmas, but I will need to be a bit more careful about how much I take on.
The good news is that Little Boy #2 is growing well, and everyone is very happy with the progress of this pregnancy. We’re over the half way mark – 21 weeks this week, and kicking up a storm. I’m starting to have a few issues sleeping at night – or at the very least, having some issues getting comfortable in my bed. I think we are going to have to get a mattress topper of some description before long, as the mattress is becoming a bit too lumpy for my liking. We saw our little man again in the middle of October, with our 19-week scan giving us a full 30 minutes of seeing our Magic Bean on the big screen, and then at our appointment with Dr Baber the following week, all of us (including Master S) got to see Magic Bean waving at us on his little screen. Master S is becoming a bit more excited about the prospect of meeting his baby brother – I think he’s planning all sorts of games and fun, without fully realising that it will be years before Magic Bean will respond the way Master S thinks the baby will respond.
New mum Fat Mum Slim (aka Chantelle) has kindly published the new list for the November Photo A Day Challenge. She’s unbelievable; this woman – mum to a newborn and a young lady, and she is still a driving force behind this wonderful challenge and our growing group of keen photographers. What a powerhouse!
Hope you will take some photos this month too!
